Description:
This course meets all EPA training requirements under AHERA [40 CFR763.92(a)(2)(l)] for school and custodial and maintenance personnel and OSHA training requirements [29 CFR1926.1101(k)(9)] for Class IV work. Respirator training and fit testing may be included on request. Lead Risk Assessor
Description:
A risk assessor determines the existence, nature, severity and location of lead-based paint hazards in or on a residential property and reports the findings of the assessment and the options for controlling or abating the hazards that are found. EPA requires that a risk assessor perform levels of assessment that are cursory, such as a lead hazard screen to a full inspection/risk assessment to determine the cause of a child’s lead poisoning. As such, the assessor must have completed a Lead Inspector course and/ or hold a current EPA Inspector certification possess one of the following:
– Bachelors degree and 1 year experience
– Associates degree and 2 years experience
– High School degree and 3 years experience
– Certification as an Industrial Hygienist, Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Certification in related engineering/health/environmental field. (e.g., safety professional, environmental scientist)

Lead Risk Assessor Refresher
Description:
The Risk Assessor Refresher is an (8) hour class to review the duties of the U.S. EPA Lead Inspector/ Risk Assessor and update the professional as to the new rules for conducting a risk assessment of homes and schools.
